You might not expect a museum about radar to have musical stories to tell, but we do! Doors open at 9A.M. and close at 3P.M. at the Central Library branch of the London Public Library.
Radar O'Reilly is not on exhibit at the Museum.
Join us for Doors Open London, September 15 & 16, 10AM-4PM ! This year's theme is stories and we will be running special true story-tours that feature a handful of our radar personalities. Tours run hourly from 10:30-2:30.

Join us at the Central Branch of the Public Library to celebrate the impact women have had on London's history. We'll be sharing stories and displaying artefacts that relate to the operational role women played in Second World War and Cold War radar.
Come out to Byron Branch of the London Public Library to hear Manager Maya talk about London's Second World War radar history. She'll touch on training, research, and manufacturing in her talk, illustrated with images from the Museum's permanent collection. As this research is ever on-going, Maya will be happy to hear new research leads from audience members following the talk.
Once again, Secrets of Radar is participating in Doors Open London! Join us Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd from 10AM to 4PM. We'll have staff and volunteers on hand to answer questions and share favourite anecdotes, and members of the London Amateur Radio Club will be on the air. This year, we're pulling some very special artefacts out of storage to put on display for this special event. And, of course, we'll have "radar popcorn" and light refreshments available for a donation.

Come out for the annual Heritage Fair! Our Manager-Curator, Maya Hirschman, will be speaking and we'll have a booth with nifty things.
Now in its third year, the London Heritage Council and London Public Library present “Heritage Fair 2015” taking place on:
Saturday, February 21st – 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Central Library (251 Dundas Street)
Heritage Fair invites those interested in London’s heritage to come out and remember our valiant war veterans. Join us for a special presentation starting at 9:15am with our Keynote speaker, Western University, Professor Jonathan F. Vance. Professor Vance is the J.B. Smallman Chair of the History Department at the University and will discuss life in London at the coming of the First World War, as well as provide an overview of how the war is remembered and suggest guidelines for future commemorative initiatives.
The Wolf Performance Hall will play host to guest speakers: Don Menard, Heritage Planner, City of London will discuss London’s "Streets of Honour" and Dr. Georgianna Stanciu of the Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR) Museum will highlight RCR soldiers of World War I. Discover the Secrets of Radar Museum with Maya Hirschman and David Hall will speak about the London Veterans who rest at Brick Street Cemetery.
The afternoon will provide hands-on access to full-colour facsimiles of the military records of forty Londoners who died in WWI and WWII. These records are available courtesy of the Library & Archives Canada “Lest We Forget” project and presented by Mark Richardson of the London Public Library in the Stevenson & Hunt Room.
This is also an opportunity for those interested in local history and London’s heritage to meet and network with over twenty heritage and military associations.
Thank a Veteran for their service, enjoy displays and refreshments at the Remember November 11th reception at Centennial Hall.
We'll be joining the 4th RCR for their 60th anniversary celebrations at the Royal Canadian Regiment Museum on October 4th, from 9AM-12PM. We'll have a small static display and we'll be in the good company of other historic military organisations and units.
Come out and join us and see displays of historic 4RCR and modern 4RCR. The unit will have a static display of weapons and vehicles, and of course, the RCR Museum will be open, too!
Family Day Open House

Taking advantage of the trails around Westminster Ponds this Family Day? Drop by the Secrets of Radar Museum and warm up with us. Hot refreshments and “radar popcorn” will be available for purchase as well as free tours of the museum’s permanent exhibits.
